But despite these increases, we were able to save weight both on the frame and fork relative to the outgoing Soloist, making a lighter bike that’s much faster. We gave the engineering team a couple non-negotiables—the bottles had to stand up on their own, so you can fill them easily, and add drink mix without juggling, and the cage had to take a round bottle so you can grab one from an aid station, neutral service, or your buddy on the side of the road.
