Leverage ratio
The Reason incorporates a progressive kinematics with a leverage ratio of 21%, which guarantees a sensitive suspension at the beginning of the travel and progressively more firm towards the end. This behavior improves traction, comfort and avoids bottoming out on jumps or large impacts. Additionally, it allows for fine adjustment through tokens or volume spacers in the shock absorber, adapting to different riding styles. A smooth, controlled and balanced curve, ideal for Trail, Enduro and e-bikes.
Anti-Squat
The Reason presents an optimized and balanced anti-squat curve, firm when you pedal, sensitive when the terrain requires it. With values from 108 % to 104 % in the SAG, it eliminates bobbing while pedaling and maintains a stable and efficient suspension during climbs. Its progressive descent up to 65 % improves traction on large compressions, achieving a perfect balance between performance and sensitivity.
Anti Drive
The Reason features a progressive anti-dive curve around 55 %, which allows maintaining control during intense braking without excessively stiffening the front suspension. This value falls within the optimal range (50–70 %) for Trail and Enduro, ensuring stable handling, an active fork and a natural feel in technical sections where the balance between absorption and control is crucial.
Kick-Back
The Reason presents a progressive Kick-Back curve with a moderate value of up to −20°, perfectly balanced for a trail/enduro e-bike. This figure is within the ideal range, minimizing interference in technical pedaling without compromising sensitivity on descents. Intuitive and configurable interface
Thanks to the integrated Avinox drive system, the Reason allows users to easily record all ride data. With advanced sensors that collect nearly 50 metrics, the control screen can be customized via the Avinox app, including details such as ride duration, range, average speed, and real-time power output.
Wireless controllers
DJI has developed dual wireless controllers that connect to the main screen via Bluetooth. This eliminates the need for cables, simplifies maintenance, and enables fast switching between assist modes with quick access to various functions and commands.
Smartphone integration for enhanced security
The Avinox mobile app unlocks the full potential of the system. Once paired via Bluetooth, it allows users to protect the bike, manage ride data, customize assist levels, and monitor the e-bike’s status in real time. It also sends alerts in case of unusual movement and provides other smart features.
Tailored parameters
After syncing with the Avinox app, riders can customize the display parameters to their preferences and riding styles. Settings can also be adjusted directly from the phone depending on the needs of each ride.
Smart bike protection
When the bike is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth, it can be unlocked automatically as the user approaches. The system also includes safety features that send alerts to the phone if suspicious movement is detected, helping users stay informed about the bike’s location and status.
Smart diagnostic system
If an issue is detected in the drive system, a visual and audible alert will appear on the screen. The app allows users to identify, locate, and quickly resolve any errors to keep the bike functioning properly.
