Bikepacking rack, 27.5in and 700c
Old Man Mountain Elkhorn Rack (Short)
A light, stiff bikepacking rack with a broad deck and 3-pack mounts on its legs for cargo cages, sized here for 27.5in and 700c wheels. Mounts front or rear on eyelets, or almost anywhere with a Fit Kit.
Highlights
Why we rate it
Cage mounts on the legs
3-pack mounts on the uprights take cargo cages, FLiP Cages or bottle cages for extra carrying capacity.
Wide, solid deck
A perimeter rail around the deck gives plenty of lashing points for a dry bag or rack pack.
Short size
Suits 27.5in and 700c wheels with tyres up to 27.5 x 2.8in or 700c x 50mm.
Fits most bikes
Front or rear on eyelets, with Fit Kits for thru-axle and QR bikes, including suspension forks and full-suspension frames.
Dropper compatible
Keeps clear of a dropper post when fitted at the rear.
Fitting
Compatibility
Ready for eyelets front or rear; bikes without eyelets need the matching Old Man Mountain Fit Kit. Not designed for traditional panniers - pair it with cargo cages and the deck. For 29in wheels choose the Elkhorn Tall.
