In its quest for the ultimate bottle cage, SILCA settled on tubular titanium construction. It gives better retention on gravel and harsh surfaces, and has proven superior when mounted under the down tube, as is common for adventure riding and touring. Each cage is hand-bent in Indianapolis from seamless 3-2.5 aerospace titanium tubing, then laser welded to the boss plate.

Finishes

• Silver: raw titanium
• Black Cerakote: a permanent ceramic coating that is far more abrasion resistant than paint or anodising, so it won't chip, break or fade
• Royal Purple, Bourbon, Rainbow, Unicorn and Aqua: hand-anodised, so colour can vary slightly from cage to cage
