105 mechanical rear mech
Shimano 105 RD-R7100 Rear Derailleur
The cable-operated 12-speed 105 rear mech, built on Shimano's Shadow design and able to run cassettes up to 11-36T. It's a solid, low-maintenance choice for 12-speed mechanical builds and upgrades.
Highlights
Why we rate it
Wide gearing
Works with 11-34T and 11-36T cassettes for easier climbing on mixed terrain.
Wide-link stiffness
A broader link structure keeps the mech rigid, which helps shifts stay sharp under load.
Bigger pulleys
11T pulley wheels run quieter and wear more slowly than smaller jockey wheels.
Direct mount ready
Fits standard hangers and frames with Shimano direct-mount hanger compatibility.
