GRX 1x 12-speed cassette
Shimano XT CS-M8100-12 12-Speed Cassette for GRX 1x
Shimano's recommended wide-range cassette for GRX 12-speed 1x builds, with a 10T top gear and either a 45T or 51T low. It needs a Micro Spline freehub.
Highlights
Why we rate it
Made for single-ring gravel
Pairs with the GRX RD-RX822 (GS for 10-45T, SGS for 10-51T) to give a huge spread from one chainring.
Two ranges
10-45T keeps steps tighter for fast gravel; 10-51T gives a very low gear for loaded bikes and steep tracks.
Light mixed build
Plated steel sprockets with the two largest in aluminium keep weight close to 460g.
Hyperglide+ shifting
Lets you change gear under load with far less hesitation than older Hyperglide cassettes.
Micro Spline fitment
Uses Shimano's Micro Spline freehub, allowing the 10T sprocket.
