Built for the emerging 32-inch wheel standard. The RCG-3 is SILCA's fast, flat-resistant gravel race tyre, here sized 32 x 2.4in. It is designed for harsh courses like Unbound and Big Sugar, and the larger diameter gives rollover and stability a 700c tyre can't reach.
SILCA took what riders love about fast XC MTB tyres and optimised it for gravel using ultra-fast road casing concepts. A supple Pulsar casing with an under-tread puncture breaker gives robust flat protection while keeping hysteretic losses low. Tightly spaced, elongated centre knobs grow in size and height towards the shoulder for buoyancy and cornering grip. The tyre is tuned for slightly higher baseline inflation to stabilise the contact patch and improve pinch-flat protection.
