Flagship direct-drive smart trainer
Tacx NEO 3M Smart Trainer
Tacx's top direct-drive trainer adds built-in fore-aft and side-to-side movement to the NEO motor, so long sessions feel closer to riding outdoors. It measures power to within 1% with no calibration and can actively drive the flywheel on virtual descents.
Highlights
Why we rate it
Integrated motion
Built-in motion plates let the bike move naturally under you; the movement can be locked out for sprints or seated drills.
Virtual flywheel
An electromagnetic motor simulates inertia up to 125 kg and can recreate cobbles, gravel and powered descents when on mains power.
Lab-grade accuracy
Power, speed and cadence are measured within 1% with no calibration routine needed before a ride.
Ready out of the box
Ships with an 11-speed cassette pre-installed and app-led onboarding, so most riders can clip in straight away.
Open connectivity
ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth plus a smart network adapter for wired or Wi-Fi links to Zwift, TrainerRoad, Tacx Training and more.
Alpine compatible
Pairs with the Tacx Alpine gradient simulator for physical climbs and descents.
