The Cytal Lite is for when grams count and heat management is a must. Weighing less than 200g (CE standard, size medium), the Cytal Lite has been developed to deliver the lowest weight possible while ensuring optimised protection and incredible heat management.
Taking inspiration from the Cytal and Cytal Carbon, we updated and enhanced the structure of the helmet shell to save weight on the EPS liner and enhance airflow, which is perfectly tuned to the needs of climbers and col hunters, or riders who often ride in a hot climate.
Every aspect of the helmet, including the adjustment system, the straps and the strap dividers, are all weight-optimised to be as light and comfortable as possible. The result is a helmet that offers enhanced protection in an extremely light, ventilated and comfortable package.
Weight:
Small - 180g
Medium - 200g
Large - 220g
Key Features:
Structurally Strong - The shell and liner combine to provide enhanced structural integrity for ultimate lightweight crash protection.

Highly Ventilated- Large airflow channels throughout the helmet and an optimised shell structure enhance airflow.

PRODUCT FEATURES
Lightweight EPS liner
A low-density EPS liner keeps weight as low as possible while still providing crash protection.
Lightweight in-mold PC shell
The outer PC shell is scaled back wherever possible, covering the liner only where absolutely necessary so that as many grams as possible can be saved.
Open padding structure
The comfort padding at the front of the helmet features only vertical padding, allowing more air flow across the forehead and keeping weight low.
Protected by science

Finite Element Method (FEM) modeling
Created to question many more safety variables, our FEM process ensures that we deliver products that live up to our internal safety demands and is the process that influenced the carbon wing.
The POC Cytal Lite is an ultra-lightweight road helmet engineered for riders who prioritise minimal weight, maximum cooling, comfort and protection during long climbs and hot-weather riding.
Why it’s different:
- Extremely light construction (under ~200 g in a CE standard, size medium) designed for riders where every grams counts
- Enhanced airflow with open padding and integrated wing structures tuned specifically for ventilation
- Built for heat management and sustained climbing efforts, rather than general or all-round road use
Best for:
- Climbers, mountain riders and riders in hot climates
- Road cyclists who prioritise weight saving and cooling
What Makes the Cytal Lite balance weight and protection?
The Cytal Lite achieves its low weight by optimising materials and coverage while still meeting road cycling safety standards.
How weight and safety are balanced:
- Lightweight EPS liner engineered for effective impact management at reduced density
- Lightweight in-mold PC shell, scaled back wherever possible, covering the liner only where absolutely necessary to save weight
- The shell and liner combine to provide enhanced structural integrity for ultimate lightweight crash protection
What makes the Cytal Lite suitable for racing?
Yes – the Cytal Lite is built for competitive road cycling and climbing, and is worn by EF Pro Cycling Team riders in the professional peloton, particularly for hot conditions and mountain stages.
Performance benefits:
- Reduced weight helps conserve energy on long climbs and steep gradients
- Advanced ventilation supports cooling during high-intensity efforts
- Especially well suited for climbing stages, summer races and hot-weather competition
