The RS isn't a theoretical concept. It's a race-proven tool at the highest level. In 2025, Edelsten team rider Philip Handl won the legendary Race Across The Alps on it: 539 km and 12,600 m of climbing in one of the toughest one-day races in the world.
On test
German magazine RennRad put the RS through a full test and called it an agile, aerodynamic and extremely light road bike with a top-quality build. Read the review (in German).
Carbon technology: performance, layer by layer
The RS frame is made from carefully selected UD fibres and high-modulus Toray T1100 carbon, EPS-moulded for clean, consistent walls. The interlaced layup tunes stiffness and comfort exactly where they matter: the frame responds directly when you accelerate, yet stays composed and controlled over long distances.
Custom paint: Edelsten 3D Paint Studio
Every Edelsten is painted to order in Austria, Germany or Italy and assembled in Cham, Germany, so a one-off finish is part of the deal rather than an afterthought. Choose Custom paint (3D Paint Studio) in the colour options above (+£509, equivalent to Edelsten's €600 surcharge) and design your frame on a live 3D model:
- Frame colour: any colour you like
- Finish: gloss, satin, matt, metallic, pearl or raw carbon
- Logos: silver, chrome, Oil Slick or any colour, in gloss or matt
How it works: 1) Open the Edelsten 3D Paint Studio and create your design. 2) Click "Save design" to get your design code (for example ED-RS-XXXXXX). 3) Order the custom paint option here and email the code to us, or bring it into the shop, and we'll confirm everything with Edelsten before your frame goes into paint.
Prefer a signature finish? Raw Carbon / Oil Slick Chrome and Pearlwhite / Oil Slick Chrome are available at the standard price.

Delivery and warranty
- Standard colours: usually 2 to 8 weeks, depending on stock
- Custom paint: around 8 weeks from design sign-off
- Warranty: 5-year frame warranty for the original owner against material and manufacturing defects

Sachet Instructions
1. Grab your empty old bottle of Muc-Off. (You may need a pair of adjustable pliers to remove the trigger from the bottle). Or purchase our Bottle for Life.
2. Fill up to the shoulders of the bottle with 1 litre of lukewarm water for faster formula activation!
3. Carefully cut one corner of the sachet open along the diagonal cut lines.
4. You can carefully pour the sachet straight into the top of the bottle. Or using the box, fold the inside of the lid together using the printed lines as a guide and use this as a funnel to pour the powder into your bottle. (Please see our video for full instructions on this.
5. Screw your spray trigger back onto the top of the bottle. Ensure it’s tight!
6. Shake the bottle vigorously for 30-60 seconds to activate the formula. If you notice any undissolved powder simply keep shakin’ it!
7. Go clean that filthy bike!
