Axle-mount rack fitting
Old Man Mountain Front Fit Kit
A dedicated front axle and hardware set that lets an Old Man Mountain rack mount directly to your fork's axle, so you can run a front rack on bikes with weak or missing eyelets.
Highlights
Why we rate it
Spares your fork
Rather than hanging the load off small eyelet bolts working in shear, the rack sits on sturdy studs on the replacement axle, which its dropouts capture securely.
More carrying capacity
Mounting at the axle lifts the Divide rack's rating to 33kg (70lb), handy for heavy touring and expedition loads.
Swap racks with ease
Once the axle is in, moving a rack between bikes, or from front to rear, is a matter of a few bolts.
Kits for most forks
Options cover 12mm and 15mm thru-axles across a wide range of lengths and thread pitches, plus specific RockShox, Fox, Manitou and SR Suntour forks and a quick-release skewer kit.
Fitting
Compatibility
Choose the kit that matches your fork's axle diameter, length and thread pitch (check the markings on your existing axle or your fork maker's specification). Fit Kits work only with Old Man Mountain racks; the rack itself is sold separately.

Sachet Instructions
1. Grab your empty old bottle of Muc-Off. (You may need a pair of adjustable pliers to remove the trigger from the bottle). Or purchase our Bottle for Life.
2. Fill up to the shoulders of the bottle with 1 litre of lukewarm water for faster formula activation!
3. Carefully cut one corner of the sachet open along the diagonal cut lines.
4. You can carefully pour the sachet straight into the top of the bottle. Or using the box, fold the inside of the lid together using the printed lines as a guide and use this as a funnel to pour the powder into your bottle. (Please see our video for full instructions on this.
5. Screw your spray trigger back onto the top of the bottle. Ensure it’s tight!
6. Shake the bottle vigorously for 30-60 seconds to activate the formula. If you notice any undissolved powder simply keep shakin’ it!
7. Go clean that filthy bike!
