Orbea Orca Aero
Aero 360º
Orbea's third-generation Orca Aero was developed for speed at real-world wind angles rather than a single wind-tunnel condition. Orbea claims a 21W saving over the previous bike.

Head tube
A slim, narrow head tube cuts frontal area while still working with a standard fork, a wider size range and UCI rules.

Fork
Profiled to match the downtube so airflow stays smooth at different yaw angles, with room for a wide range of tyres.

Downtube
A slightly wider downtube tuned for the 5–20° yaw angles that make up most real-world crosswinds.

Bottom bracket keel
An extended keel manages airflow under the frame, reducing drag in a key transition area.

Seat tube and seatpost
Moving the Di2 battery low in the frame allowed a slimmer seat tube and seatpost profile.

Seat stays
Slimmer stays with lower junctions balance stiffness and weight, with a touch of vertical compliance.

Rear dropout
A compact UDH-standard dropout saves weight and keeps the Di2 routing tidy.

Wind-tunnel proven
Gains first found in CFD on the previous bike were validated in the wind tunnel using fairings.

High-speed efficiency test
Riders held fixed speeds in an indoor velodrome while power was measured, to put real-world drag figures in watts.
System
Engineered as one system
Orbea developed the frame with its OC components and OQUO wheels together, so the parts work as a single aero package.
Integrated cockpit
The OC RA10 carbon cockpit is light, fully internally routed and comes in 13 bar-width and stem-length combinations.

Flush bottle cages
Cages sit lower and are shaped to blend into the downtube and seat tube.

Service box
An integrated box holds tools, tubes and ID, and is shaped to follow the wheel and frame profiles.

OC RA11 aero seatpost
Aero-profile seatpost with low-stack clamping and universal saddle compatibility.

Low-stack saddle
Developed with Fizik to sit close to the seatpost for a cleaner, lower profile.
Wheel and downtube integration
The downtube is shaped to match the front wheel, and was developed with OQUO around the RA57 LTD wheel (57mm rim, carbon spokes).
Handling and stiffness
Stable race handling and power transfer
Orbea pairs a low centre of gravity and race geometry with stiffness tuned for each frame size.
Lower centre of gravity
One of the lowest bottom brackets in its class sits the rider deeper in the bike. Orbea claims 14W saved at 50km/h from improved stability.

Stack and reach
A low stack and long reach give a performance-focused riding position.

Size-specific trail
Fork trail is tuned per frame size for consistent control across the range.
Two seatpost options
Choose a 0/10 or 15/25 setback post. The reversible clamp gives 10mm of adjustment.

Core strength
An enlarged downtube and bottom bracket junction increases stiffness under pedalling load.

Powerspine
A slightly wider downtube reinforces the main load path for efficient sustained pedalling.

Size-tuned stiffness
Larger frames are tuned to stay as responsive as smaller ones.

Efficient, not uncomfortable
Rear triangle shaping and more exposed seatpost add some vertical compliance.
Frame weight and stiffness
Orbea quotes about 900g for the frame, 410g for the fork and 160g for the seatpost, built in its OMX carbon.
Future-ready
Integrated beyond aerodynamics
Practical details that keep the bike race-ready.

Tyre clearance
Optimised around 29–35mm race tyres, with clearance up to 37mm in total.

Spinblock
A 90° steering limit protects the frame and paint from over-rotation.

Di2 battery position
Tucked above the bottom bracket, shielded from airflow and easy to reach.

Internal seatpost clamp
A discreet, aerodynamic clamp with simple adjustment.

Service case
A soft case that fits the service box and holds essentials in place.

UDH compatible
Universal Derailleur Hanger for easy replacement and wide drivetrain choice.

Fork bumpers
Rubber bumpers at the fork tips protect paint and carbon when the bike is put down.
