Speed is built layer by layer. By questioning everything that holds you back. Exploring every angle. Going beyond what is expected. Always searching and always improving. It is the relentless pursuit of every advantage.
It’s hard to beat the sensation of power that comes from a great aero bike. What rider is ambivalent about a machine that gives back free watts? Taking Orca Aero to the next step meant rethinking aerodynamics, going beyond the windtunnel, and examining every angle to create real-world advantages. Not just in the frame, but in how the rider and machine work together. All of this adds up to a significant 21W saving over the previous bike.
A Different Approach to Aero
With aero performance already highly optimised, meaningful gains require a new approach. Instead of chasing results at a single wind angle, development is focused on real-world conditions, where crosswinds and varying yaw angles dominate. This leads to aerodynamic efficiency that holds up outside the wind tunnel, translating performance directly into speed on the road.
Aero in Every Corner
Seeking the most aerodynamic advantages meant going over every piece of the frame and optimising millimeter by millimeter. We focused first on frontal drag, identifying the areas that create the most resistance. By refining these high-impact zones, we reduced drag where it matters most.
Head Tube
The sharpest, narrowest head tube possible for a standard fork design reduces frontal area without resorting to complex or offset solutions. This system supports a broader size range, meets UCI regulations, and saves on weight compared to more complicated alternatives. The height is reduced as a result of the lowered bottom bracket.
Fork
The fork is carefully profiled to align with the downtube, ensuring a smooth airflow transition even at varying yaw angles. This approach avoids optimisation for a single head-on condition, preserving aerodynamic efficiency in crosswinds. We maintain enough clearance for a wide range of tire widths, without resorting to oversized fork profiles that compromise aerodynamic performance.
Downtube
A slightly wider downtube is shaped to manage airflow efficiently, ensuring aerodynamic performance is preserved across the frame’s largest surface. Particular focus was placed on performance at 5–20° yaw angles, which account for the majority of real-world crosswind conditions.
Bottom Bracket Keel
Building on the previous Orca Aero frame, we extended the bottom bracket keel to enhance its aerodynamic contribution. This refined lower structure manages airflow around the frame’s underside, reducing drag in a key transition area.
Seat Tube and Seat Post
Strategically moving the Di2 battery to the lower part of the frame allowed us to create a slimmer profile for both the seat tube and seat post. This change reduces drag compared to the previous generation while maintaining structural efficiency through the centre of the frame.
Seat Stays
Slimmer seat stays with lower junction points optimise stiffness and weight while introducing a touch of vertical compliance.
Minimal Rear Dropout Design
A compact rear dropout optimised around the UDH standard reduces weight while improving integration. Discreet Di2 cable routing keeps the rear triangle clean and uncluttered.
Validated Gains
Aerodynamic development doesn’t stop at design. Every aerodynamic refinement is challenged and verified before making it onto the final bike.
Wind Tunnel Proven
Aerodynamic gains initially developed through CFD analysis on the previous bike are validated in the wind tunnel using fairings. Repeatable, real-world conditions ensure those gains translate into performance riders can experience on the road.
High Speed Efficiency Test
In this test, riders maintain a series of fixed speeds and we measure their power output. An indoor velodrome provides constant, repeatable conditions so the only change is the aerodynamics. This makes it possible to calculate the real-world impact of aerodynamic drag, in Watts, for any given speed.
Engineered as One System
Aerodynamic performance is the result of engineering every element to work together as a single system. That means optimising interfaces between components and creating modern aero solutions, turning essential components into aerodynamic advantages.
Integrated for Speed
The OC RA10 Carbon Cockpit is exceptionally light, combining fully internal routing, ergonomic tops and sprint-ready stiffness in one seamless system.
Flush Bottlecages
New cages have been positioned lower in the frame and carefully shaped to be flush for seamless airflow around the downtube and seat tube.
Service Box
The age-old question of where to carry essential tools, tubes and identification is answered by the integrated Service Box. Not only useful but aerodynamically beneficial, the Service Box is shaped to follow the wheel and frame profiles to create a continuous form.
Unified Design
The new low-stack seatpost and saddle together improve aerodynamic efficiency by minimizing the gap between rider and bike.
OC RA11 Aero Seatpost
A lightweight aero-profile seatpost with low-stack clamping designed to reduce drag. Precise adjustment and universal saddle compatibility ensure a clean, integrated setup.
Low Stack saddle
Developed in special collaboration with Fizik, this discreet, low-profile saddle integrates cleanly with the seatpost.
The Competitive Edge
The Orca Aero frame was engineered around the OQUO RA57 LTD CS wheel profile to optimise airflow around the bike for greater aerodynamic efficiency.
Wheel-downtube Integration
The downtube shape is designed to closely match the front wheel, creating a smooth airflow transition and reducing turbulence at the wheel–frame interface. Specifically engineered in collaboration with OQUO to be the most efficient with the RA57 LTD wheels.
Selected For Speed
Stiff, lightweight and aerodynamic to deliver top performance on the flat and in sprints. The RA57LTD CS wheel has a 57 mm rim with an internal width of 23 mm. The carbon spokes increase stiffness for explosive accelerations, while their 5.2 mm flat profile yields aerodynamic gains. The optimised rim profile reduces rolling resistance and increases stability in crosswinds. All at a highly competitive weight of just 1373 g.
Stable Race Handling
A stable bike is an efficient bike. A lower centre of gravity, refined geometry, and precise positioning reduce unwanted movement, helping maintain speed with less wasted effort.

Lower Centre of Gravity
One of the lowest bottom brackets in its class lowers the center of gravity, creating a more planted and stable ride. By positioning the rider deeper within the bike, side-to-side movement is reduced, allowing a straighter line and minimizing energy lost to lateral movement. This lower position also helps reduce frontal exposure to the wind.
Race Geometry
Race geometry prioritizes stability and responsiveness at speed, delivering confident handling through fast corners, descents, and high-pace riding.
Stack & Reach
A low stack and long reach create a performance-focused riding position, supporting an efficient posture and stability at speed.
Size-specific Trail
Size-specific fork trail gives optimum control no matter what frame size.
Performance, in Millimeters
Fit accuracy is a performance factor. Seatpost options, clamp design, and ample cockpit sizing allow riders to dial in their position with precision.
Two Low-Stack Seat Posts; more Setback range
Choose between two seatpost options, 0/10 seatpost and 15/25 seatpost. The reversible clamp provides maximum range, with 10 mm of adjustment, making it easy to find the perfect position.
Streamlined Saddle Clamp
A lightweight saddle clamp uses a simple two-bolt design to deliver secure, precise adjustment with minimal complexity. The system allows independent tilt and setback adjustment.
Precise Fit Cockpit
The OC SH-RA10 integrated cockpit is available in 13 sizes of handlebar width and stem length combinations, ensuring a precise fit tailored to the rider’s body.
Power Transmission
Engineered for rigidity where it counts and power transfer you can feel. From targeted stiffness in key frame zones to size-tuned stiffness, every detail is refined to make you faster.
Core Strength
An enlarged downtube–bottom bracket junction increases global frame stiffness, improving power transfer under pedaling load.
Powerspine
A slightly wider downtube reinforces stiffness along the main load path, improving efficiency during sustained pedaling.
Size-Tuned Stiffness
Larger frames naturally flex more, yet bigger riders need more support. Our size-tuned stiffness ensures every frame feels equally responsive and efficient.
Efficient, not uncomfortable
With special shaping of the rear triangle and greater seatpost exposition, we engineer some vertical compliance into the ride. It doesn't detract from efficiency but does have a noticeable impact on comfort.
Efficiency Tested
Controlled testing helps determine how engineering decisions affect power transfer. In the Low Speed test, riders maintain a fixed speed on a steep climb while we measure power output. By only changing the frame and keeping all the other variables constant, we can determine how efficient the power transfer is for each frame.

Stiffness to Weight
As rider power output continues to rise with the increasing level of the sport, so do the forces acting on the frame, requiring greater stiffness to maintain efficiency. We achieve this increase in stiffness without adding weight, through refined carbon layup and material selection.
Global Frame Stiffness
Weight alone does not define performance. Global frame stiffness determines how effectively power is transferred, ensuring effort is converted into speed rather than lost to flex. At 900 g with 93 Nmº stiffness, structural efficiency is prioritized over chasing the lightest possible number for an aero frame. The overall stiffness to weight ratio from the previous generation has improved 27.5%.
