Winter base layer
Spatz BASEZ EXTREME Winter Base Layer
Spatz's warmest base layer yet, combining polypropylene insulation, seamless knit construction and a windproof chest panel for the coldest rides of the year.
Highlights
Why we rate it
Polypropylene warmth
Polypropylene yarn holds a layer of warm air next to the skin to keep your temperature steady when you're working hard.
Seamless and quick-drying
Internal weaves and waffle textures draw sweat away from the body, with no seams to rub.
Wind-blocking chest
A breathable membrane across the front stops cold wind getting through where you feel it most.
Proven in the cold
Refined over four winters in the UK, the Alps and the Pyrenees, and designed to replace a stack of ordinary base layers.
Cut for the bike
Long sleeves, a dropped tail, short front and high neck give a close fit that layers neatly under jerseys and jackets.
Fit
Sizing
Close, cycling-specific fit that should feel snug but not restrictive across the shoulders in the riding position. Size up if you plan to wear it for skiing or other sports.

3. Carefully cut one corner of the sachet open along the diagonal cut lines.
4. You can carefully pour the sachet straight into the top of the bottle. Or using the box, fold the inside of the lid together using the printed lines as a guide and use this as a funnel to pour the powder into your bottle. (Please see our video for full instructions on this.
