What to wear: a ride-by-ride guide

There’s no single perfect winter kit. It depends on the day, the distance and how hard you’re riding. Here’s how we’d put it together.

Don’t put your summer kit away yet. A couple of smart accessories turn what you already own into something that adapts to cooler starts. Roll the warmers down or stuff the vest in a pocket once the sun shows up.
